Yes. A referral from your GP or specialist is required to access Medicare rebates and ensure the consultation is appropriately triaged. A GP referral is valid for 12 months and a specialist referral is valid for 3 months. Please kindly ensure your referral is up to date.

Please bring your referral, Medicare card, private health fund details, pension card or Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) card, any relevant scans (MRI/CT), recent blood tests, current medication list, and details of previous treatments. This information helps Dr Driver provide an accurate and efficient assessment.

Initial consultations are generally longer (~45-60 minutes) to allow for a thorough history, examination, and review of investigations. Follow-up appointments are shorter (~20-30 minutes) and focus on treatment response and ongoing management.

The cost depends on the type of consultation or therapy that you have.

Driven Neurology is dedicated to providing the highest quality of specialist neurologist care. We are not a Bulk Billing Practice, however, Veterans who hold a Gold Card are not required to pay any out of pocket expenses. Pensioners & Health Care Card Holders are eligible for a concession. Please ask at reception when booking your appointment.

Yes. For patients with chronic migraine, Dr Driver offers Botox® injections as well as access to highly effective injectable CGRP-targeting therapies.

If you have sudden or severe neurological symptoms (such as new weakness, difficulty speaking, or sudden visual disturbances) please seek emergency medical care immediately. For urgent but non-emergency enquiries or referrals, please contact our rooms directly.

Yes. Second-opinion consultations are welcome and can provide clarity on diagnosis, treatment options, and long-term management.

The frequency of reviews varies depending on your diagnosis and treatment plan. Some conditions benefit from regular monitoring, while others may only require periodic review.

Yes. Dr Driver accepts WorkCover, Insurance, and Defence patients. Referrals and supporting documentation are required prior to the appointment so that the appropriate approval, billing arrangements, and clinical information can be organised. Patients or referrers are welcome to contact our rooms if they need assistance with paperwork or eligibility.
